G'day, mates! I am back from my visit to New Mexico. I want to thank Erin again for making this trip possible for me. As I said before, I had been looking forward to this trip for a very long time. It was great to see Erin and Leah again. When you see an old friend that you haven't seen in years, and it seems like no time has passed at all- that is the measure of a true friend. We always seem to be able to pick up where we left off years ago.
This is a picture of us at an Native American pueblo in Albuquerque. It was taken by Erin's 6-year old son, Dallin. Not bad, huh? Pueblo means town in Spanish, and these pueblos were adobe buildings where a community of people lived together. There are several through out the state. This particular pueblo houses a beautiful collection of Native American art, and has a very large selection of hand-made Indian jewelry. As one might imagine, the majority of the jewelry we saw in NM was turqoise. It was all so beautiful.
On Saturday we drove up to Santa Fe, and ate dinner at the Cowgirl Hall of Fame Bar-B-Que. We ate on the patio, and boy was it crowded! There was also live entertainment. It was a one man band who looked like a cross between Roy Orbison and Tom Petty. I tried the sweet potato fries, and they were delicious! I am growing sweet potatoes in my garden this year, and I can't wait to make fries for my family. I have wanted to see Santa Fe for a very long time, and it was everything I hoped it would be. A very ecclectic small town with a very ecclectic population. It was refreshing. Embrace your individuality like the people in Santa Fe do! Appreciate everyone's unique qualities.
Yesterday Kacey and I went to a local orchard and picked blueberries. It was a lot of fun. I missed her so much while I was gone. I like blueberries, and I LOVE blueberries in muffins, pancakes, and pies. My friend Rosemarie made the most delicious blueberry pie a few weeks ago. She has wild blackberries that grow in her back yard. This is a good area for growing berries. There are lots of wild blueberries growing on the side of the road, and sometimes you will see families out picking them. Aaron's girlfriend Katie told me that this has been the best berry season that farmers have had in a long time. Good news for berry lovers like me!
Have a great week!

I am so glad you were able to get away and have a vacation. I know how it feels when you are needing one and having it with old friends tops it all off. It was so nice to see a pic of you. Finally. The girl on the right looks like she can be related to you. You look beautiful, Aramie.
I do not know what was up with my hair that day but my head looks gigantic and surprise my underwear are hanging out yet again. Did I mention that I love you.
How fun!! I wish I could've seen y'all too!!
