Two things I never dreamed would happen...

1. I checked the mail this afternoon, and noticed a large manila envelope had been delivered with my name on it. Well, you can imagine my surprise when I checked the return address- there actually was no address, just a name- Leonardo DiCaprio! I was shocked! Was Leo finally responding to the love letter that I sent to the Leonardo DiCaprio fan club in 1993? 'Too little, too late Leonardo. My love for you faded once the Titanic phenomenon blew over. Skinny men who look 12 are not my thing. Anyway, it was actually a plea for a donation to save the Polar Bears. I want to save the Polar Bears as much as the next person, but first I want to save the Aramie. Aramie needs all the donations Aramie can give. Also, I find it a little suspicious that multi-millionaire Leonardo is sending out letters requesting donations. Don't you think that if he really, really wanted to Leo could scrape up a few million and save the entire polar bear population all by himself?
The second thing I never dreamed would happen is this: now try not too judge me too harshly, it's one of those things you have to see to appreciate. I bought a fanny pack. Yes, I Aramie Judd have purchased the hideous article seldom seen in our fashion-conscious realm. Recent sightings have been reported here in the lake region worn by tacky Canadian tourists who also wear tube socks and really short running shorts, but theirs are the cheap nylon variety. If leg warmers and leggings can make a come back, why not fanny packs? I am planning to do a little traveling this summer, and it just seemed appropriate. It is dark purple checkered material, and in bright pink the name Burton (the brand) is embroidered near the bottom. It has a dark brown leather strap and chunky hardware which makes it look more like a belt. Just be glad I got rid of the black pleather one I had in the early 90's. It had a neon pink triangle, neon orange circle, and neon pink square in the front. Gorgeous. It went perfect with my neon pink biker shorts and mushroom haircut.

If you are going to do a little traveling this summer, then a fanny pack is right up your ally! You will definately stand out as the real tourist that you are. Have fun!! And BTW are you going to check on those polar bears for vacation??

Kid, I'm with you ... when times are hard we are our own best charity! I'm not sure of what to say about that fanny pack thing ... I've never considered using one ... it sounds like it's going to work out great for you! I hope your traveling is good for you!!!

Funny about the fan letter! It took a while for him to get back to you right? I think you should come and visit GA we could have a real good time!

Aramie, i am pleading with you. get your money back. pull your velcro wallet out of your fanny pack and get your money back. if you choose to keep your hip atrocity, at least send me a video of you doing the running man while wearing it. i'm sure i could find you a sweet pair of parachute pants to go with it. and i hear you about Leo. he's always trying to bum a few bucks off me and i'm like, "dude, sell a Growing Pains dvd if you're so hard up. i lent all my cash to Brad." one more thing, and this goes for ALL OF YOU who are leading my sister astray: friends don't let friends wear fanny packs.

I would just like to say to my sister that this fanny pack kicks a#@, and she will be BEGGING, that's right, BEGGING to borrow it once she has seen it!

My dad always called them "queer packs." But if anyone can make them cool, it's you. And don't ever be ashamed of the mushroom hair-cut, I never am despite Nate's constant harrasment.
