Pink Eye Stinks (not literally, though)

I took Kacey to the Dr. this morning. I was able to get her left eye cleared up pretty well with drops, and when we woke up this morning it had migrated to her right eye. The Dr. just gave us more drops and told me to treat her cold symptoms with Benadryl. I knew exactly what he was going to say- I should have made my own diagnosis and paid myself $50.
I have an appointment with a neurosurgeon in Vermont tomorrow. She is a pediatric neurosurgeon, which makes me feel sort of wierd, but apparently she is much more familiar with my disease than the other guy in the area. I hate to use the term "disease," but illness makes it sound like I am incapacitated or something. I had a MRI a few weeks ago because I have been getting migraine headaches with some regularity. As is my usual practice, I wasn't concerned that they would find anything. I have been under a lot of stress at school, and I just assumed that the headaches were caused by stress. We got the report back, and I have 10 smallish tumors in my brain. This suddenly sounds very familiar...have I already talked about this in my blog? Oh well. It's really no big deal right now. I don't think that we will be taking any action any time soon. I really love my neurosurgeon in Phoenix, and I don't trust every Dr. I've been to lots of different neurosurgeons, and some of them just want to cut you open even if it isn't imperative. My "disease" isn't extremely common, so I think some less-experienced neurosurgeons want to see what's going on in this brain of mine. Hey.....maybe I'm a brain surgery celebrity, and I don't even know it! They have my picture up in hospital breakrooms around the world, and pretty soon they are going to be offering me their nicest ICU bed just to have my surgery at their hospital. Well, well, well. It's all so clear to me now. My affections cannot be bought, Johns Hopkins!
It was a little disheartening at first, but as always- I'm over it now. I'll let you know how the appointment goes tomorrow.
Kacey needs a little attention, so I'm going to finish this up. Thanks to all my friends who induldge me by reading my blog.

If anyone can kick it, you can!! You are a strong woman!! I'm sorry about the pink eye. Haven't had that go through our house yet, but I'm sure it will have it's chance. I'm most afraid of Lice. I never had it growing up and it terrifies me that someday one of my kids will bring it home....SCARY!!

Sending up prayers for a good appointment and good feelings about a new DR. Sorry about the pink eye again. Don't you wish it was as easy to cure as Red Eye is on our pictures.
love ya.
