False alarm. Kacey remains an only child, which is just the way she likes it. Do you remember reading the Shel Silverstein poems when you were a kid? You know, A Light In The Attic, Where The Sidewalk Ends? Well there is one poem titled "Prayer of the selfish child." It reads- "Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep, and if I die before I wake, I pray the Lord my toys to break, so no other kids can play with them." This is Kacey's motto.
I really don't have much to write tonight, hence the reciting of poetry.
I am baking a pound cake right now. I've never made pound cake before, but it certainly felt like it weighed more than one pound. More like 2 or 3. Or is it called pound cake because it's so fattening that you gain a pound per piece that you eat? I was a bit surprised at how much butter the recipe called for. That's a lot of butter.
